Biltmore House is transformed for the holidays with the festive addition of dozens of exquisitely decorated Christmas trees, miles of garland, hundreds of poinsettias, and more lights than you can count. For a different experience of Biltmore House, enjoy the joy and the wonder of Candlelight Christmas Evenings—the gentle glow of candlelight and firelight and live performances of holiday music make for a truly magical evening. Christmas at Biltmore begins November 3 and ends January 6. The last Candlelight event is January 5.

Christmas Town USA

McAdenville, NC

Visitors can walk or drive around the large lake in the center of town complete with 38 lighted spruce trees circling the lake. There are more than 160 beautifully decorated homes and common areas throughout town with more than 265 evergreens covered with more than 500,000 red, white, and green lights. This is a free event in their 63rd year! The 2018 event runs from November 30 thru December 26.

Festival of Lights at Chetola Resort

Drive or stroll around Chetola Lake, view glittering ice skaters, “Rudolph” reeling in a big fish, strolling carolers and many more captivating holiday scenes.  The Festival of Lights begins Thanksgiving weekend and continues through the end of Blowing Rock Winterfest in January.

High Country Lights

High Country Lights is an award winning animated light show featuring thousands of  LED lights choreographed to your favorite Christmas tunes on 95.9 FM. This free light show can be seen nightly starting at 6:00 PM and ending 10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 PM Friday & Saturday, Thanksgiving through New Year's Day.  Make sure to check out our viewing tips before arriving to enhance your experience. Speedway Christmas

Charlotte Motor Speedway, 5555 Concord Parkway South, Concord, NC 28027

November 18 - December 31 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Speedway Christmas will have over 3,000,000 lights with a new and greatly improved lights-to-music drive-thru section! The entire course will stretch over 3 miles and include a two full tunnel of lights, beautiful 12 Days of Christmas display in the grandstands, a huge lights-to-music course through the new road course and themed displays along the course to finish off with a new custom light tunnel! 

During nights that the village is open, we will host children’s rides & activities for all ages. Christmas Village will include pony and camel rides, a petting zoo, Bethlehem village with live actors, horse-drawn wagon rides, S’more roasting, Santa’s Workshop, Photos with Santa, sponsored decorative trees, and more. We have also expanded our movie nights to every village night – Thursday through Sunday!

Speedway in Lights

November 16 thru January 5. Cars are $15 Sunday through Thursday and $20 Friday and Saturday. Presented by Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, The Pinnacle Speedway in Lights Powered By TVA is the largest holiday light show in the South. A route of approximately four miles and two million lights provides entertainment for thousands and raises money for children charities in and around the region. Check their website for nightly events and other attractions at the Speedway including an ice skating rink!

Tanglewood Festival of Lights

Beginning November 16th, 2018 through January 1st, 2019, Tanglewood Park's rolling countryside will be transformed into a winter wonderland of giant, twinkling snowflakes and whimsical scenes! Entering their 27th season, Tanglewood's Festival of Lights continues to be one of the largest and most spectacular light shows in the entire Southeast.
